While delivering newspapers from age 9, Robert began reading both editions everyday and became an astute observer of media and public affairs. His passion continues to this day. As an executive and senior public affairs professional with over 25 years of domestic and international experience.

As Partner & Sr. VP with GGA Communications (Montreal), Principal at Dilenschneider Group Inc. (DGI) in NYC and President of GCI Canada (Toronto) Robert has established global best practices for Fortune 500 companies in sectors ranging from energy, to pharmaceuticals and biotech. From 2006 to 2012, Robert served as Director of Communications and External Affairs for Alcan (APMG), later Rio Tinto Alcan.

Robert had a broad remit, across a multi-billion dollar global portfolio of greenfield growth projects spanning all five continents. He was responsible for internal and external communications, media, community, stakeholder and government relations, sustainability, CSR and regional economic development. In addition to running RVC Inc., Robert is Adjunct Professor of Public Affairs Strategy at Concordia’s School of Community and Public Affairs, Lecturer in Negotiation Strategy McGill University's Faculty of Law.

Robert is a sought after speaker and has lectured or presented at many prestigious venues including the John Molson School of Business (JMSB), University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs, Jeanne Sauve Foundation, and the Royal Oceania Institute.
